DANCING BEAR LODGE
Most Smoky Mountain weddings are destination weddings. Brides and grooms need to think about the wedding accommodations for guests who are traveling into town. Research wedding guest accommodations to recommend to your loved ones to make the process even easier.
I.
Location
When considering lodging, location is a significant factor. Narrow a search by choosing cabins or lodges that are conveniently located near the wedding venue. The closer, the better. Finding wedding accommodations for guests within walking distance would be ideal. Still, those that are a short car ride away are fine as well.
III.
Amenities
Certain amenities, like cable TV, internet access, and parking might be "must-haves," while others, like a swimming pool, mountain road access, and room service, might be nice to have but not essential. Think about what's crucial to the majority of guests when it comes to wedding accommodations.
V.
Size
Think about the number of guests that will need to accommodate. If hosting lots of out-of-towners, focus on larger wedding cabins or lodges. If only a few out-of-towners can accommodate, many wedding couples can consider smaller inns and beds and breakfasts.
II.
Budget
While some guests may be willing to splurge on a hotel room, most family members and friends will likely prefer more budget-friendly wedding accommodations. There are services available to do the legwork for wedding couples to find the best possible rates near the wedding venue.
IV.
Availability
Make sure any cabins or lodges have the availability to accommodate guests on the wedding weekend. Check and see any major local events such as conventions, conferences, festivals, or sporting events that may cause rooms to book up quicker than usual. You don't want to leave guests stranded!
VI.
Event Space
Many wedding destination wedding couples may want to host pre-and post-wedding events with their friends and family. Whether it's a rehearsal dinner or your post-wedding brunch, a large cabin or lodge can be a great (and super-convenient) venue for wedding-related events.
